A permanent LGS formwork system for Stairs and landings

Flexi Stair is a bespoke modular steel formwork stair system manufactured from lightweight steel galvanised sheeting. All design and installation is generated and driven through 3D design drawing models creating a modern solution and providing a singular drawing reference for comment by all parties. Included in all the stair flights is a standard structural reinforcing mat providing the required 2hr fire rating. Installation is a floor per day (including balustrade) giving edge protection, ready for site traffic the day after pouring.

Flexi Landing

A new concept to the modular steel formwork system, the flights and landings will be supplied together in one complete formwork set, with reinforcement and steel bearing connections included.
The landings are supported by rolled hollow sections which are housed in mild steel enclosures (encased within the concrete) on the landings. These rolled hollow sections are then slid through these enclosures into pre-formed pockets into the stair core walls. Sliding these connectors into the pockets provides the tolerance required to move the unit as required.
Once the units have been propped and aligned, concrete can be poured into the formwork and into the pockets forming a solid connection between the stair formwork and the stair core structure providing the robustness that UK regulations require.

This way of working eliminates the need for any ledger angles or any type of extra unsightly steelwork below the soffits thereby improving the aesthetics of the finished stairs and landings.
Units can be craned in as either flights, half and quarter landings.  Either way, time can be saved as the building rises. Flexistair staff and their Engineers are experienced in working together with contractors to provide the best solution for the end user.
